The reason I got an A is because I was a good writer.
He wrote, 'Do not be a creative writer', and made an asterisk next to every time he thought I was one.
That was the only way I lost points.
I'd rather have gotten an F and been true to what I love than an A for a habit I have no intent of keeping.
My heart is broken for his sterilized rules.
It's not just his rule, it's a university standard. I've had many a teachers like that because when you're doing formal information writing generally speaking creativity is bad, and they just want facts.
